Jessica Vandiver is Named Our First Year Teacher of the Year!

My name is Jessica Vandiver, and I graduated from Erskine College in May, 2024. I am honored to be Hodges' First  Year Teacher of the Year. I believe that forming strong bonds with my students is the foundation of being a great teacher. Every student is unique with varying strengths and needs. To ensure that each student succeeds, I use my  knowledge of them and our bond to push them. I challenge my students to grow each day. Seeing the pride they feel when they accomplish something new, meet a goal, or learn something they perceive to be difficult is the reason I came into this profession.
