About Us

Hodges Greenwood School of Inquiry is a school of choice in Greenwood School District 50.  At GSI, students learn through an inquiry model of instruction.  The inquiry cycle teaches students to begin learning through observation and wondering.  We begin asking questions then seek to find the answers to these questions through research and investigations.  Students are taught to reflect on their learning and use these reflections to ask new questions, beginning the inquiry cycle again.  We learn through an apprenticeship model where we all are teachers and learners, tall and small.

Our beliefs are the foundation on which we build curriculum at our school.  These beliefs are at the forefront of the inquiry units we plan and are instrumental in guiding our instruction.
