We are kicking off our Summer Reading the week of June 2nd.
Sign up begins June 2 on the Greenwood County Library website on
BEANSTACK ---the same app we used the past couple of years. Our summer
theme is "Color Our World" in which we will enjoy art, color, and
creativity. We have many programs planned for all ages, as well as the
incentives in the past- Top School Trophies, Star Readers, and a Prize
Drawing for Summer Reading Completion.

This attached file will give you glimpse into K5 at Hodges Elementary GSI!

The numbers are in, and we are ranked ✨39th ✨out of 638 elementary schools in the state of SC!!!! Up 79 spots from last year with kindness, curiosity, and hard work leading the way. Our students and teachers are AMAZING! Congratulations to our fellow D50 elementary schools for moving up the ranks as well. #weareD50

Take advantage of the Hodges Little Free Library this summer! Simply drop a book you wish to donate in the blue return bin and take a book from the appropriate drawer. Drawers are labeled by grade level bands and adult books. Directions for how to use the library are posted on the wall above the library. Sirius and Holly are officially adopted by our school. Sirius is a humpback whale and Holly is an orca. In December, our students participated in a fund raising event to hopefully adopt one whale. We raised enough to adopt two! Learn more about whale adoption through the WDC's website by clicking the title of this article.
